The U.S. is now leading the world as the largest producer and exporter of natural gas.
Secretary of Energy Chris Wright announced an export authorization for Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi liquefied natural gas (LNG) Terminal, with an expansion of 12 percent. This will allow for additional exports of U.S. natural gas up to 0.47 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d). The export total is now the second-largest export project in the U.S.
“In the last ten years, American innovation and President Trump’s leadership transformed the United States into the world’s largest exporter of LNG,“ Secretary Wright said. “This order helps further strengthen America’s LNG export capacity, delivering peace abroad and prosperity for Americans at home.”
He added that he was proud of the “American workers responsible for unleashing American energy dominance.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Wright as he advocates for further exportation of natural gas products.
- For U.S. energy officials as they review the nation’s energy supply and potential for expansion.
- For the workers at Corpus Christi as they use their expertise to handle the outflow of product.
